In Majalengka Regency, variations in topographic conditions result in different levels of landslide susceptibility, which may affect public facilities, including educational institutions. This study aims to analyze the spatial distribution of landslide susceptibility and evaluate the exposure of educational facilities using a GIS-based Weighted Overlay method with seven parameters. The results indicate that High and Very High susceptibility areas cover approximately 33,284 hectares and 17,388 hectares, respectively, and are mainly concentrated in the southern part of Majalengka Regency. Of the 672 educational facilities, 162 schools (24.1%) are located within landslide-prone zones, including 47 schools in Very High susceptibility areas. These findings highlight the influence of terrain conditions, rainfall, soil characteristics, and proximity to infrastructure in shaping landslide susceptibility. This study provides a spatially explicit evaluation of educational facility exposure, offering empirical baseline data to support local disaster mitigation strategies and school safety planning.
Muhammad Hafidz Aditya Ramadhan Hermawan Setiawan Andri Noor Ardiansyah Copyright (c) 2026 Moderasi: Jurnal Studi Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2026-05-03 2026-05-03 7 1 1 20 10.24239/moderasi.Vol7.Iss1.615 Youth Participation in Preserving the Jaranan Ritual Tradition in Malang, Indonesia https://mail.moderasi.org/index.php/moderasi/article/view/624
Jaranan art as part of local cultural heritage faces significant challenges in the era of globalization, particularly the declining interest of younger generations and the gradual shift of sacred ritual values within its performances. This study aims to analyze youth participation in preserving the ritual tradition of Jaranan Putro Gunung Sari and to examine the strategies employed to sustain its cultural continuity amid social change and modernization. Previous studies have largely focused on the symbolic meanings and general preservation of Jaranan culture, while limited attention has been given to the role of youth as key actors in maintaining the continuity of ritual traditions. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that the Jaranan ritual functions as a social fact that strengthens collective consciousness and community solidarity. Furthermore, youth involvement reflects a form of cultural agency in safeguarding local cultural identity through various preservation strategies, including intergenerational regeneration, collective deliberation, and the use of social media for cultural promotion. The study demonstrates that the sustainability of traditional arts depends not only on cultural inheritance but also on the active participation and adaptive capacity of younger generations in responding to contemporary social transformations. This research contributes to the discourse on cultural sociology and youth-based cultural preservation in traditional ritual arts.
Cindy Khoirun Nisa Rizki Agung Novariyanto Lina Desriana Pratiwi Copyright (c) 2026 Moderasi: Jurnal Studi Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2026-05-23 2026-05-23 7 1 21 38 10.24239/moderasi.Vol7.Iss1.624 Developing Quartet Card Media for IPAS Learning on Norms and Local Wisdom In Elementary School https://mail.moderasi.org/index.php/moderasi/article/view/626
This study aims to develop Quartet Card media for IPAS learning on norms and local wisdom to strengthen cultural understanding and character education among fourth-grade elementary students at SDN 3 Sukosono. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and pre-test and post-test instruments involving 26 fourth-grade students, with validations conducted by material and media experts. Data analysis used descriptive qualitative and quantitative techniques, including validity, practicality, N-Gain, and Paired Sample T-Test analyses. The findings indicate that the developed media is highly feasible, as reflected by material expert validation (95.38%) and media expert validation (90.76%). Practicality results also showed positive responses from teachers (82%) and students (90.10%). Furthermore, the media effectively improved students’ understanding, demonstrated by the increase in average scores from 50.6 to 88.1, supported by a high N-Gain score (0.77) and a significance value of <0.001. This study highlights the novelty of integrating local wisdom values into Quartet Card-based IPAS learning as an interactive medium that supports culturally responsive learning and strengthens students’ understanding of social norms and character values in elementary education.
Fanny Zahrotun Nadhifa Riska Anintyawati Copyright (c) 2026 Moderasi: Jurnal Studi Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2026-06-01 2026-06-01 7 1 39 53 10.24239/moderasi.Vol7.Iss1.626 Designing Trade Cooperation under Regime Complexity: A Rational Design Analysis of the Indonesia-Korea Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement https://mail.moderasi.org/index.php/moderasi/article/view/625
This article examines the Indonesia–Korea Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IK-CEPA), which entered into force on 1 January 2023, as a case of bilateral trade cooperation within an increasingly complex regional trade environment. The study investigates how the institutional design of IK-CEPA supports economic cooperation and governance between Indonesia and South Korea. Drawing on liberal institutionalism and rational design theory, the research employs qualitative content analysis of the agreement’s legal provisions, supported by implementation documents and official trade and investment data. The findings show that IK-CEPA extends beyond tariff liberalization by establishing formal coordination mechanisms, review procedures, and economic cooperation programs that facilitate policy coordination and capacity-building between the two countries. Early implementation indicates modest changes in bilateral trade performance but stronger continuity in investment cooperation, suggesting that the agreement’s governance functions may be more significant in the short term than its immediate trade effects. This study contributes to the literature by demonstrating how bilateral trade agreements can complement existing regional frameworks and strengthen economic governance through targeted institutional arrangements.
Ilham Dary Hayara Khairia Tsabita Husna Copyright (c) 2026 Moderasi: Jurnal Studi Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2026-05-30 2026-05-30 7 1 54 67 10.24239/moderasi.Vol7.Iss1.625 Empathy as a Predictor of Religious Moderation Among Adolescents: Evidence from Indonesian Senior High School Students https://mail.moderasi.org/index.php/moderasi/article/view/628
This study aims to determine the effect of empathy on religious moderation among students at State Senior High School 4 Palu. Religious moderation is crucial for adolescents in fostering attitudes of tolerance, inclusivity, and mutual respect. Furthermore, empathy is an internal psychological factor that warrants further investigation. This study employs a quantitative approach using a survey design. The population consists of 303 students, selected via random sampling with a margin of error of 0.05. The study utilizes the Perth Empathy Scale (PES) to assess empathy levels and religious moderation, focusing on national commitment, tolerance, anti-violence attitudes, and cultural/local accommodation. For data analysis, the researcher used linear regression with SPSS version 20. This study indicates that empathy contributes to religious moderation with a coefficient of 48.91%. This study suggests that fostering empathy in character education is a critical focus that should be prioritized. Additionally, several approaches and methods can be employed in character education, such as experiential learning and reflective learning with a focus on social interaction.
Darmawansyah Darmawansyah Copyright (c) 2026 Moderasi: Jurnal Studi Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2026-05-30 2026-05-30 7 1 68 79 10.24239/moderasi.Vol7.Iss1.628 Exploring Museums as Authentic Learning Resources in Social Studies Education within the Merdeka Curriculum Framework https://mail.moderasi.org/index.php/moderasi/article/view/639
The use of museums as Social Studies learning media in junior high schools remains incidental and has not been systematically integrated into the curriculum, so their educational potential has yet to be fully utilized. This study aims to examine the perceptions of teachers and students regarding the use of museums as Social Studies learning media and to identify the forms of their compatibility within the Merdeka Curriculum framework at SMPN 3 Palu. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews with three teachers and eight students, and documentation study. The findings reveal that both teachers and students hold positive perceptions toward museums as authentic learning resources capable of providing real and contextual experiences. Museum utilization was carried out in three forms: structured field visits, museum-based projects within the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project, and indirect use of museum documentation in the classroom. All three forms demonstrated strong alignment with Social Studies learning objectives and the Merdeka Curriculum scope. Nevertheless, museum utilization remains suboptimal due to budget constraints, the absence of visit guides integrated with lesson plans, and the lack of formal cooperation between the school and the museum. This study recommends that teachers develop systematic visit planning, schools establish formal partnerships with museums, and education authorities formulate integrated guidelines for museum use as Social Studies learning resources. This study contributes to the development of contextual learning resources in Social Studies education by demonstrating the alignment between museum-based learning and the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum.
Syafira rahmadhani Rizka Fadliah Nur Rahmadiani Rahmadiani Copyright (c) 2026-06-14 2026-06-14 7 1 80 95 10.24239/moderasi.Vol7.Iss1.639 Principles of Religious Moderation in Christianity: A Critical Analysis of Challenges and Social Realities https://mail.moderasi.org/index.php/moderasi/article/view/648
This study aims to analyze the concept of religious moderation within Catholic and Protestant Christian traditions, the challenges of its implementation in a pluralistic society, and the gap between theological teachings and the social practices of Christian communities. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The data were analyzed using an interactive analysis model involving data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, and were validated through source and method triangulation. The findings reveal that religious moderation in Christianity is rooted in the values of love, peace, tolerance, and respect for human dignity, yet it has transformed into a contextual, relational, and adaptive social practice. The study identified several challenges in implementing religious moderation, including identity exclusivism, identity politics, algorithmic radicalization in digital media, generational gaps, and performative moderation. In addition, the research found a gap between theological teachings on moderation and actual social practices due to the strong influence of social, cultural, political, and digital factors. The novelty of this study lies in the concepts of digital moderation, participatory moderation, relational moderation, symbolic moderation, and adaptive moderation. The study emphasizes that religious moderation should be realized through dialogical education, digital literacy, relational experiences, and interfaith cooperation in order to build an inclusive, harmonious, and socially just society.
Anwar Ibrohim Eko Yulianto Rifki Rosyad Moh. This study aims to analyze the influence of interpersonal communication on the self-concept and resilience of people with non-congenital visual impairments among members of the Indonesian Blind Association (PERTUNI) in Medan City. The study used a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The study population was 120 members of PERTUNI in Medan City and all of them were sampled through a total sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire that was read directly to respondents and analyzed using SPSS version 27. The results showed that interpersonal communication had a positive and significant effect on self-concept (β = 0.210; t = 2.936; p = 0.004) with a coefficient of determination of 0.068, which means it explains 6.8% of the variation in self-concept. Interpersonal communication also had a positive and significant effect on resilience (β = 0.384; t = 3.829; p = 0.001) with a coefficient of determination of 0.111 or explaining 11.1% of the variation in resilience. This finding indicates that interpersonal communication contributes to the formation of self-concept and resilience in people with non-congenital visual impairments.
Nurhayati Nurhayati Iskandar Zulkarnain Humaizi Humaizi Copyright (c) 2026-06-26 2026-06-26 7 1 124 137 10.24239/moderasi.Vol7.Iss1.652
